Just my 2 cents….
I’ve tested the extension and it’s a excellent solution, do the same things with these differences:
Pro
1) Managing the BBCODE in CP.
2) Shared the bbcode all around the Expressionengine Site.
Cons
1) You cannot Disable the BBCode (if you test with var show_youtube_video = false; you know what I mean).
2) You must create in CP the bbcode you need, here are default active.
In the next release I could move the BBCODE code on a stand-alone file so as to allow a simple operation to choose whether to use the javascript version or the extension.

When I’ve discovered the bbcode Yuri plugin i’ve added it as favorite, because it’s interesting. Yes Yuri is a active developer, there was a problem with the Social Login and he solved it quickly.
Really I was frustrated with the possibilities about Forum themes, no exist documentation about that, i spend hours to build my own theme but i wasn’t sastified. Really eeBootstrap worth its 49$, because it’s quite new and a very active development.
I hope that the new version of the Forum will have a good make up, same thing for the EE Control Panel design, and interface,
